To announce countries which have most participation in 40th Tehran International Short Film Festival
Spain, India, France, America and China are countries at the top of the list of international participants in the 40th Tehran International Short Film Festival.
According to the report of Public Affairs of the 40th Tehran International Short Film Festival, the deadline of acceding works, which started on March 19, 2023, ended on August 10, 2023 with the participation of more than 7,000 works from 131 countries.Receiving 7216 short films from international filmmakers set a new record for the Tehran International Short Film Festival in the number of films received by the festival secretariat in the international section.Also, according to the announced schedule, the names of selected films to be screened in the international section of the Tehran Short Film Festival will be announced at the end of September 2023.The total number of films registered in the international section of the 40th Tehran Short Film Festival is 3390 fiction films, including 1112 experimental films, 1068 documentary films, 936 animated films, and 445 works to compete in the special award of the “Truth seekers” and 265 works from 131 countries have applied for the special award of the “Silk Road” section in the international section of the 40th festival.According to statistics, Spain with 913, India with 553, France with 494, and America with 448 and China with 367 short films are the top 5 countries that have sent the most works to the festival.Also, Italy with 329, Brazil with 280, Russia with 238, Great Britain with 203, Turkey with 193, Germany with 160, South Korea with 159, Mexico with 136, Canada with 135, and Poland and Argentina with 129 short films have participated in the festival.
