Huaqing Jin has directed “Living with Shame”, “Blossom with Tears”, “Lament of Yumen”, “Endless Road”, and others. He has received 40 awards in international film festivals in 18 countries, including: France, Italy, Mexico, Brazil, Korea and Japan. For his film “Blossom with Tears”, Jin has won The UNICEF Prize (2012), “Best Children’s Film” Award at the 27th Pärnu International Documentary and Anthropology Film Festival and “Best Short Documentary Award” at the 4th China Documentary Academy Awards Show. His film “Living with Shame” was awarded the “2008 Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival Jury Prize.” His documentaries have been broadcast on Al Jazeera Television in Qatar, BBC, EBS, Fuji TV, etc.
Jin has served as a jury member for the 21st Asian International Film Festival in Vesoul and the final student competition in the 8th Russian Anthropological Film Festival. He is a creative tutor at Lanzhou University and a visiting Instructor of Zhejiang University of Media and Communications. He is also an adjunct lecturer at Suzhou University. In 2010, he created and hosted a Video Training Camp and Video Workshops for students from different parts of China.
