Ali Asgari:

Ali Asgari was born in Tehran, Iran. He is a graduated of cinema in Italy and began his career as an assistant director. He is an alumnus of Berlinale Talent Campus 2013 and His short film “More Than Two Hours” was in competition at Festival De Cannes 2013 and Sundance Film festival 2014. His short film “The Baby” was premiered in competition of Venice Film Festival 2014. “The Silence” is his recent short film and first short film which was made out of Iran which had its world premiere in competition at Festival De Cannes. His short films were screened in more than 500 festivals around the world and won in sum more than 100 international awards. He also developed the script of His first feature film “Disappearance” at Cinefondation Residence of Cannes Film Festival.

Farnoosh Samadi

Farnoosh Samadi was born in Iran. She is graduated from Fine Art Academy in Rome. She started filmmaking at Iranian youth cinema society and after that she made some video installations. She is the scriptwriter for the short films “More Than Two Hours” directed by Ali Asgari which was nominated for a Palme d’Or at Cannes 2013, “The Baby” which was premiered in Short film competition at Venice Film Festival 2014 and some other short films. She is currently co-writing a feature film with Ali Asgari which is accepted at Cinefondation Residence of Cannes Film Festival. The Silence is her first short film which had its world premiere in competition at Cannes Film Festival 2016.
