Recognition:

Born in Limassol Cyprus, Myrsini is an award winning writer and director. She is currently receiving her MFA in Film Production at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, with a TSOA Scholarship. In 2013 she completed her BFA in Film and History of Art, at Pratt Institute in New York, as part of the President’s List. Her latest works include the short film Semele (2015), a short documentary shot in Argentina Ma’ (2014), the award winning short film Not Now (2013) (International Short Film Festival of Cyprus 2014 – Best Directing Award), and the short documentary Lost Hopes (2011).

In May of 2009, Myrsini had her first photographic book publication and exhibition Mother

India (edition Athens Voice), where all the proceedings from the sales, were donated to The MSF (Doctors without Borders). Photographs taken by the artist have been accepted and exhibited in Luxembourg at the F.I.A.P Youth International Contest, in Cyprus at the Pan Cyprian competition and in Andorra Spain International Photo Contest. During the summer of 2008 she followed a course in Fashion Design at the Nuova Academia di Belle Arti in Milan, Italy and for the period of the summer 2010 she attended an Acting for Film course at the New York Film Academy. In the summer of 2011 Myrsini worked as an Assistant Director to the TV series Secrets of Eden in Athens, Greece, and with the award winning stage, film and television director Mirra Bank (New York) in the post production of her latest documentary The Only Real Game, which has won Best Documentary at the New York Indian Film Festival.
